Cprime Acquires Blue Agility to Provide Better Global SAFe Transformations
Cprime is proud to announce that we have acquired Blue Agility, a leading Agile and DevOps consulting and training firm, based in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Since 2011, Blue Agility has helped organizations implement large-scale agile transformations, DevOps automation and application lifecycle management (ALM) technology. With “BlueKit”, a proprietary library of best practices, templates and workshops, companies are able to drive consistency and accelerate rollout of SAFe transformations of all sizes. The acquisition will deepen Cprime’s Agile consulting and training practice and help software development teams better incorporate Software Services Lifecycle Management (SSLM) into their process to create accelerated flow of value delivery to customers and greater responsiveness to business needs.
“Blue Agility is recognized as one of the best companies at delivering SAFe transformations. Bringing them into the Cprime family positions us to better provide and support global SAFe transformations. Built from actual implementations, their BlueKit has proven to be extremely useful in successfully implementing SAFe transformations through industry-specific best practices, and we look forward to incorporating it into our delivery of SAFe transformations,” said Zubin Irani, CEO of Cprime.
“Teaming up with Cprime accelerates our ability to grow the reach of our Scaled Agile Expertise, proprietary BlueKit Implementation methodology and deliver holistic solutions to our existing client base,” said Ken France, CEO of Blue Agility.
Get to know Ken France a little better – here he shares his thoughts on Cprime acquiring Blue Agility::
Q: Can you provide us an overview of why Blue Agility decided to be acquired by Cprime?
@Ken: Agility at Scale and DevOps have hit the mainstream. More and more large organizations are launching strategic initiatives to become more responsive to the market and improving their ability to deliver value to their clients. As these organizations are looking for strategic partnerships to help them, they want to have the confidence that their partner not only has the skills and experience to support them, but also the critical mass and resources to scale with them in their journey. There has been more and more consolidation of smaller Agile coaching firms and in order to continue to compete and growth, we felt we needed to be part of a larger organization that would allay the concerns of these large enterprises. As we looked for the type of company we wanted to join, Cprime checked all the boxes. Our business are extremely complementary, each filling gaps or strengthening offerings of the other. Our cultures are very well aligned and we felt this was the perfect time and opportunity to take both our businesses to the next level.
Q: What does the acquisition mean to existing Blue Agility and Cprime customers?
@Ken: Both our customers now have access to more capability and talent than they did before. Cprime has an extremely strong practice around the Atlassian toolset which complements our strong presence in CA, VersionOne, and others. In addition, the combination of both our DevOps practices will enable clients to accelerate their journey in that space as well. Lastly, Blue Agility’s long time commitment and experience with SAFe will help existing Cprime clients start or accelerate their Agility at Scale Transformation.
Q: Can you talk a little about how you think Blue Kit will help Cprime customers?
@Ken: Customers want repeatable results and to leverage past learnings vs. starting from scratch. Blue Agility has invested heavily in an asset library of proven practices and templates that we call the Blue Kit. The Blue Kit will not only help accelerate scrum, Kanban, or SAFe implementations, it will also provide long term sustainability but providing the context-specific, repeatable processes that organizations desire in order to become self-sufficient and reduce/eliminate their reliance on outside coaching. The Blue Kit is the footprint we leave behind once we are gone to help ensure long-term, sustainable success for our clients.
Q: What’s the best restaurant in Bristol?
@Ken: My favorite place is the King George Inn. They are right on the waterfront and have outdoor seating to look over the water. You can’t go wrong with anything there but the Lobster Bisque is particularly good!
